# Killswitch Function

The Killswitch is a function in our Masterchef contract that will only be executed by community agreement. It will be activated if the community decides to end emissions and move on to Layer 2 on Binance Smart Chain.

This function does the following:

* Sets the BUSD release time frame variable to something very small to ensure rapid release
* Establishes a gradient that tapers PLUSH and STB emissions down to zero linearly

Then, after emissions end, a presale contract would be set up that would allow PLUSH and STB holders to swap for both farming and ownership Layer 2 tokens.
